Walking, Worms & Sippy Cups...

Well I know it's going to happen; my last baby is going to grow up, but does he have to do it so darn quick?! Jack has been interested in and using his sippy cup for water for awhile now but last night he was making some serious attacks at trying to get to TJ's sippy cup so I gave it to him (it was empty) he would suck then take it away and look at it; then suck again then take it away and look at it; finally after like 3 times he looked at it with his little eyebrow frown so after we all had a good laugh I gave him some water and he just loves the sippy cup! am going to get a supply of sippy cups this weekend. He doesn't need the ones with handles he likes any of them so I am going to start using those more and more! I can't wait! Bye Bye Bottles! Then to top that off last night he was playing with one of TJ's toy's. I look over because I notice movement and Jack is pushing the toy then WALKING behind it but because it is low to the ground he is bent over at the waist so I of course scream o my god he is walking so I quick grab his walking/push toy thing and sure enough he pushes it a couple times and walks behind it! Then plop on his butt so I didn't get a chance to get it on any type of film but can I just say I was so excited! He is going even earlier than TJ! I think it will be anytime now that he is totally just walking around! He is not even 8 months old yet! Why is he trying to grow up on me so quick! He is the super bestest baby in the world! So happy and laid back! TJ was a great baby and I thought this is going to be the "bad" one because you don't get good babies all the time well move over who ever said that because I got a good 1st baby and a super duper 2nd baby! Another reason I am saying my blessings and stopping ahead of the game! LOL! NO MORE BABIES HERE!

Now having two boys I have tried to prepare myself for the world of stinky, sweaty socks, smelly bodies and funky smelling hair even after just having a bath (it must be something in the boys that make their hair smell blah after playing outside; you know kinda like a wet dog! LOL! It's a boy smell)..sports, cuts, bruises, trips to the ER (twice here already for stitches and glueing) but BUGS - YUCK! I just can not, will not, refuse to handle BUGS. TJ LOVES BUGS, he loves worms, all of that stuff. I hate touching them; any of them! He picks up catapillers, worms, SLUGS! I have lost several pieces of tupperware to home slugs and worms! I slept with worms on my nightstand last night! My mom got him the bug house thing that comes with a vacume for christmas and I have already replaced the batteries in the bug vacume and the bug house is now home to a spider and a criquet (sp) the size of my thumb! GROSS! I am telling you if you have not had boys or are just starting with boys brace yourself! They are born with dirt under their fingernails and a need to dig! The pictures say enough.

Quick Updates:

WEIGHT LOSS - Well in the month of Feb I lost 8 more pounds so that is 20 total; still have a ways to go to my personal goal but am FINALLY on the right track.. I am getting my hair done today so I will take an updated picture instead of that god awful one of me that TJ took that I use as my profile shot!

NEW CAMERA - WOO HOO my new camera came yesterday and I love it...I took a couple pictures of Jack this am just messing around and I will post one or two; they came out really cute; because he is soooo cute! :-)

JACK - Jack is officially all over the place; yesterday he crawled from the living room to the toy room so we are going to put the gate up at the bottom of the stairs and we have to make sure that the basement door is closed now all the time! Let the games begin! It's the first time he crawled out of the living room us ually he just moves around in there! He hates being in anything like the exersaucer etc so I can get rid of all of that big gear..
THOMAS - Things are fine there...same ole same ole! Ready for some nice days for outside play.

The boys had their pictures taken Sat. Jack did great; TJ as usual did ok; he just hates to have his picture taken. I will try and scan some of those to post.

I will also have tons of pictures on Monday because we have a birthday party tomorrow and Spiderman and Batman are supposed to make an appearance...I had lots to say but now I forgot most of it!

What did you do last night; O nothing much..wait

did I just say nothing much. Why do I brush what I do off as nothing much? If you call:

Get home; get Princess (foster dog)
Go Get TJ from Daycare
Take Princess and TJ to vet
Get home from Vet; feed Princess and other dogs
Give Princess meds which have to be "hidden" so out comes cheese, liverworst, etc
Clean up dogs dishes
Start supper
Feed Jack
Clean Jack; finish up Supper; Feed TJ
Play with Jack
Clean up TJ
Play with both kids
Put Jack into jammies; make bottle and into bed
Give Princess a bath
Give TJ a bath; let other dogs out for potty break; start a load of laundry;clean kitchen
Put TJ into Jammies and play while trying to watch 30 seconds of TV (Jon and Kate plus 8 one of my fav shows)
Make snack for TJ; and off to bed...

Nothing much then really I didn't do much last night......to tell a secret I wouldn't have it any other way. It's what I am used too and of course it's all organized chaos because I HATE unorganized anything!

Happy 7 Month Bday Jack Ryan!

WOO HOO! That's right exactly 7 months ago Jack Ryan was born and he was already born by now since he was born at 3:33 am! He is growing up so fast! He is crawling; getting into a sitting on his own and pulling up and standing while holding on! He started this thing I just noticed last night while he was standing holding onto his toy he lifts one leg up and kind of just moves it back and forth and puts it back down; he does it over and over; guess he is preparing for WALKING! But it was so funny to see him do it over and over! LOL! This is where I would insert the infamous 7 month picture but the camera is dead! I noticed the other day it wouldn't turn on and I thought it just needed new batteries AGAIN; my camera uses 2 Double A batteries but uses them up faster than white on rice so last night I actually REMEMBERED to get batteries and these are new from Kodak; DIGITAL CAMERA BATTERIES! They are not supposed to get drained as quickly as regular battiers; they do cost more; like 8 bucks for 10 maybe but it was buy one get one! GO MOMMA! So I get home and insert new batteries so I am fully prepared to take the 7 month shot so I press power and NOTHING so we try again, and again, and again, like if I push it 100 million times it will work...this actually came as now surprise since when we went to Disney I dropped it down under the coaster when we were boarding Goofy; had to have an employee use a special stick; clamp thing to get it then the same day into the sand at the playground when I fell off trying to be "cool" and show TJ how mommy can jump off and land okay maybe mommy USED to be able to jump off and land; now not so much! I couldn't believe it held up for almost two more years; although when I turned it on it sounded like it was dying and it always flashed an E:16:20; guess that meant error! :-) I will try tonight to put good ole fashion batteries in; maybe the new Kodak batteries are too much for my little camera; we'll see! So stay tuned; Monday I will hopefully be able to post pictures as I go out and hunt for my 3rd digital camera! My poor cameras! I can't even remember how I killed the first one!

TIME:

Time; it rules our worlds...

It's time to get up; it's time to go to bed; it's time to eat; it's time to brush your teeth, take a bath, go to work...you name it! When is it time to sit back and ENJOY things, like my kids being babies and NEEDING me; like watching them play, sleep, eat....like just being together. I have decided that it is NOT TIME to let this TIME with my kids go by without me paying closer attention! While I clean, cook, prepare, organize my kids are walking, learning and noticing that I am not there! This TIME I will see things for the first time, this TIME I will sit and play legos for an hour w/out complaining about what I have to do before tomorrow, this TIME will be for my family and myself. This TIME will never come again and I don't want to miss it.

Today I enrolled TJ in Pre K; wait did I just say Pre K as in almost in elementary school?! It just can't be! My baby is starting SCHOOL! Where did the time go? Who gave him permission to go to school? Want to know the sad part; I teared up talking to the director! Can you beleive it! She actually had to give me a tissue! She was sympathetic saying she went through it with her boys and for a mom to say goodbye to her son is different than a daughter....I felt like a huge dork! I guess it's better than full on sobbing fool; guess I'll save that for Kindergarten! I guess they grow up! It sucks!

Not to much else going on; Jack is crawling forwards; well I guess you call it crawling; it's his version where he puts his butt up in the air; legs straight and then lurches forward! LOL! He LOVES to stand and has started standing and not holding onto things which has resulted in a few face plants! Sorry mommy is getting old and not as quick as she used to be!

I don't have any new pictures since I have to get batteries. Pictures to come Friday on Jack's 7 month birthday!

Time flies when your having fun!

Weekend Fun...

Another weekend comes and goes! TJ had fun Saturday night since I was babysitting a 9 year old named Parker...he at first had a hard time sharing his favorite toys and parker was great about letting him get his way but I kept telling TJ that parker was our guest and if he didn't stop he wouldn't be allowed to play with parker and I told parker not to let TJ get his way EVERYTIME....so after about 1/2 hour TJ settled into party time with parker and the night was pretty much okay from there....we went to the grocery; TJ wanted a toy; he must have forgotten the new rule but he came away with a monster truck puzzle that he loves and no fits or screams of protest to be heard...I did also let him pick a movie; Spongebob Squarepants; To Love a Krabby Patty or something like that; we had rented it and he never wanted to bring it back because he kept watching it over and over so we just bought it! Cheaper that way! He for some reason can not get enough Spongebob right now! We did the usual laundry, cleaning up etc...I am going to be doing a consignment sale in march to get rid of the boys clothes and unused items in a quick and easy and organized way so I hung them (most of them) and now I have to make the tags for them etc...it's alot of work actually so we'll see if I do it again. Here are some pictures from Sunday morning..Jack is sooo close to crawling! He can get up on all fours and starts rocking but can't seem to get the fact that he needs to move his arms and his legs not just his legs! :-) He also is trying with all his might to pull up to a standing position; if we help him stand he will stay like that forever if you let him; he hates to be confined to the jumperoo or exersaucer...not to much else going on.....

Heaven's! Could it be?

It couldn't possibly be over a week since my last post! Not I! Queen of pictures and emails and posts! LOL! AWW but it tis!
Not to much going on in Reese land...we are handling a few personal matters at the present time which lend us to quiet days, nights and weekends at home enjoying our time together. I am in the process of literally going through every nook and craney sorting and organizing.. I have given a ton of stuff away to people that could use it and benefit from it instead of it littering my world and gathering dust. I guess you could call it a way to simplify my life. I am not one for clutter EVER and we really don't have much clutter but we have (had) a lot of stuff....just stuff...and so that stuff has found new homes with new people that will hopefully use it! I feel so much better when things are put away and organized..it's like a weight lifts off my shoulders...I still have a few more areas of the house to go through but the main utility room is done! I should have taken a before and after!
The boys are great! Jack is like the perfect baby; I thought I had a GREAT baby when I had TJ as a first baby well Jack is ten times "better".. The kid is awesome and my lord does he love his big brother...TJ can make Jack laugh just by making funny noises; you know the ones that we as adults find annoying! LOL! I plan on whipping out the camera to get some shots this weekend. Jack is trying with all his might to crawl; he'll get into position then either stick his butt way up in the air or fall to the floor and roll over; he can scoot himself backwards which is a sign that forwards is not far behind..TJ is TJ; still growing like a weed into a little boy...
I have lost 12 pounds during my first month of "serious"; the baby is growing fast and you can only say I just had a baby so long diet! We'll see how month two goes!
I hope all is well with everyone out there and look for pictures on Monday!
