Where to begin.....

Well here it is another Monday. New Year's Eve 2007; almost time to start a new year...this is a time to reflect on the past and concentrate on the future; live in the present. In 2007 we had births, deaths, joy, sadness, and everything under the sun! :-)

We had a good weekend; GO REDSKINS! Did our usual errand running; had a playdate. TJ decided that a certain toy was more important than a birthday party so be it. He had to choose; a large party or a large toy and he picked the toy. To me it is important he understand that he does not always get both. He has to learn to make decisions based on what is more important to him. He seems spoiled to most people but we do not always hand him everything he wants (even though some people beg to differ)! Which leads me to my next point. We had a visitor over the weekend and he just stopped in to say hi and somewhere in the conversation a point was made that SOMEONE has been talking about "us" maybe not so much the entire Reese Clan but a certain little boy named TJ. Now I have NEVER said we are perfect or he is perfect; or he can do no wrong; I know Thomas has his "issues"; as all children do. What burns my blood is that the person who is doing the gossiping (no names where given to us but common knowledge and process of elimination only points the finger at one possible person who is well known for their gossiping I am perfect attitude towards others) anyway; back to what I was "saying" I do not for one milisecond think TJ is anywhere NEAR perfect; let's be honest; he is a pain in the ass; he misbehaves; he has his naughty moments but he also has his good days; no great days! He'll wrap his arms around me and tell me he loves me for no reason; he'll be mommy and daddy's big helper when it comes to projects around the house; helping with baby brother, you name it he will do it; no child is perfect EVER so to the person who thinks you are perfect (you know who you are) let me be the first to let you in on a little secret you are not perfect; your family is not perfect; your life is not perfect; your children are not perfect so before you speak, think, because it will get back to whomever it is you are deciding to gossip about at that certain time and things always come back to bite you in the ass..

BLAH BLAH BLAH!

There has got to be more back here I just know it!
Jack LOVES his G Da Da - if your holding Jack and stand beside Tom's head Jack either pats his head or grabs hold of his hair (what's left He He He) and just sits there not pulling it but like your not getting away from me!

My boys at the end of Christmas at Me Me's - they both changed clothes after everyone saw the nice outfits!

His new bike! He loves it!

Jack taking a test ride while brother slept! This used to be my dining room! LOL!

TJ insisted that Santa needed a bib to protect his suit! :-)

Jack loved the bows!

Here is TJ unwrapping; the bike was hidden in another room; he had to take his shirt off once he came down; still not sure why! LOL!

Why is my post called Blah Blah Blah; well because that is what this post is gonna be full of! LOL! The last time I posted was when Gummaw died and that seems like forever ago already. Thomas was at the doc on Saturday for a sick visit; he had a severe ear infection; we missed Gummaw's services but we did make the viewing and the Eastern Star Service they had for her on Friday so we got to say goodbye then. Rob went to the funeral on Saturday by himself. After we got TJ's meds he perked back up (not that he ever seems down; just at night when it's time to sleep does the pain of the ear infection set in)...the baby is now sick; he had a sick visit yesterday but his is just a cold so we will have to wait it out. Chirstmas came and went...TJ got very excited to open EVERYONE'S gifts...he now asks everynight that when he wakes up will there be more presents..nope sorry! But his birthday is in about a month and it never fails he always gets more presents! :-) He was very excited to go to Grammy's first where he received and watched Spiderman 3; which came in handy when he watched it with Daddy while I took Jack to the doc he kept Rob up to speed on what was happening. He loved his John Deer tractor and has already ridden it several times. He also got a bike and he can ride that as well; he does sports/athletics naturally; he was already trying out the bike no handed and trying to stand on the seat! Needless to say his new spiderman helmet MUST be worn at all times with my little dare devil who is destined (sp) to scare the poo outta his momma; Will jack be this way? Or will Jack be my mellow little calm fellow; yeah right! Even if he wanted to be TJ would not hear of such a thing! He already asked if we could put Jack in the back of his tractor but don't worry mom I'll be careful! Ummm not right now honey! :-) At Me Me's Christmas afternoon TJ got the firetruck he so desperately wanted (to add to the other 3 he already has) he was so excited to get the firetruck! He was also excited that Daddy got a shirt with his "friends" on it - the Redskins; anytime TJ sees Redskins he tells Daddy - look it's your friends. He LOVED his redskin "running" outfit from Me Me and the redskin truck that was from G Da Da... He calls the "bad guys" the eagles (sorry uncle tom and untie Amy!) anytime he wants to "beat" someone at something he always says we don't like them they are the eagles....he is his father's son! He loved everything and anything; he was so happy and excited! Santa is tired; ready to pack it all in; only do it again next year...

Jack is 5 months old already; he can roll both ways; is trying his darndest to sit up from a laying position and before I know it will graduate college! No TJ won't be graduating college because he wants to be a trash man (the one that stands on the back)! :-)

Another year is winding down; is this my time to reflect on all that has happened in our lives; the births; the deaths; the ups; the downs? Who are we kidding; who has time to reflect! I barley have time for a shower!

With that I sign off; will return again though! Where would I go! LOL!

Sad Day...

It is with a heavy heart that I must say that Gummaw (Mildred Kelley) has passed away. She was 95. She will be greatly missed by us all. She was Mom to Tom, Grandmother to Rob & Skeeter and Great Grandma to Randall, Thomas & Jack. She will be greeted at Heaven's gates by Fred who has waited for his bride for almost a year. Goodbye Gummaw; we love you.

I DID IT! I ACUTALLY DID IT!

I made it to the gym this morning! It was a mess; forgot some key items like a towel (the gym won't have any until maybe Jan; this I do not understand) so I am a mom and I prevailed! I will learn as I go as far as figuring out the best way to go about getting my buns in gear etc but overall who cares I went! I did 30 mins on the eliptical (sp) machine today; tomorow my goal is some weights; sit ups; strength training..we'll see what tomorrow holds but I went today!

This weekend was fairly quiet - note the word fairly! LOL! Thomas and I made Cowboy Cookies (Laura Bush's famous recipe) they came out good and of course I forgot the huge tuperware that I had set aside especially for work; maybe tomorrow I will remember those (and a towel!). Thomas saw presents under Grammy's tree and talked about them all weekend because Grammy had "real" presents under her tree; I am not sure where he has seen "fake" ones though! LOL! This Christmas will be nice since TJ is really into it; the next couple of years will be even better when the two of them are into it together...

Not a whole lot going on; Rob and I have our game plan to go Christmas shopping on Friday! Should be exciting...speaking of Game Plans - GOOOOO REDSKINS! WOO HOO!

Yes a whole weekend and I took not ONE picture; I did record the boys sitting together and Jack being mesmorized by TJ but no pictures; can you imagine! LOL!

Million doses of vaccine recalled

found this story on CNN. com and almost had a stroke! Jack just got his vaccines Monday and guess who has a cold happening; just an icky nose but still enough to put fear into me so of course I emailed to my friends that still have little ones getting vaccines and called the doctor. We are okay; my doctor does not carry their vaccines so I can breathe; can't I? I hope so! The fear is always there that something will happen to your kids! Can we protect them; shield them; hide them away forever? I have already said my sons are in no way, shape or form allowed to join any military branch. I can not imagine sending my babies off to war; seems a death sentence at the rate we are going...these are MY babies, MY boys and I will let nothing happen to them ever so yes I am going to hide them under a rock, create unsocial hermit crabs...who are we kidding that will never happen but a mommy can have dreams can't she! :-)

Clear the air

let me clarify they do not give him a shot in the mouth; that is an oral immunization....

Ladies and Gentleman place your bets....

did Heather start the gym today???? If you bet NO you win! That is right momma copped out yet again! I blame it on Jack...who by the way did get his shots; three in the legs and one by mouth which led to a not so happy night. He wasn't overly fussy but didn't want to eat and was tired...I got a few smiles outta him; like at 2 am this morning! He went to bed between 7:30 and 8 and was up at midnight; so I fed him then like an hour later he was up again; sounding all snotty so momma turned the lights on and got right down to it...the dreaded SUCTIONER! (sp) he does not like that but after all was said and done momma rocked him for a few mins and then laid him down and off to dream land he went...I on the other hand was awake for what seemed like forever then BEEP BEEP BEEP off goes the alarm! He is feeling fine this morning as reported by Me Me so we shall see how tonight goes...Rob's schedule does NOT help the cause and level of stress among the house right now...Please let this Christmas season come and go; I am just not feeling it....

Christmas: Lights; Camera; ACTION

Well hello Monday! One day closer to Christmas! How much shopping have I gotten completed; that's right NONE! Rob and I plan to go next weekend somtime! The good news; the Federal Gov. was given Christmas Eve as a Holiday! WOO HOO! This weekend was my "photo shoot" with the boys for our Christmas Cards...I posted some "outtakes" from the event! LOL! It went well and I got a good enough shot...pictures ordered now hopefully they get here in time. I had just taken the boys to Penny's for pictures but I do not have the extra 50 bucks for 30 cards this year and let's face it our family is not posed and perfect so I figure let's show everyone how we really are; well just a snip of it; some of you may run scared if you spent a day in my house! :-) Not to much else happening as of now. Jack is supposed to go to the doctor today to get his shots since he was to stuffy before but guess what he woke up all stuffy etc yesterday so we'll see what happens today. I have to sneak him outta daycare so TJ doesn't see me...operation pain in the butt! I start the gym tomorrow morning; Jack is 4 months old; guess it's time to face the music or my big ole butt I should say! I do great during the week but on the weekends I munch and snack alot more since I have more down time; not much more but like yesterday I got both boys to nap at the SAME time; hello that deserves a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream and an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County right! LOL! I thought so! I did mange to finally put up some outside lights; not my usual display of holiday cheer but enough to let TJ know we care it's Christmas and are happy about it! Two lighted reindeer; iceicle lights around the porch; garland on the posts and net lights over the bush! Not the usual whole house lit up like the forth of july but enough. I will say it's like an addiction to me; once I finally start I want to keep going and going! LOL! Well that is about for today; this weekend...

PUFF the Magic Dragon!

Let it Snow! Yesterday was our first snowfall of the season and TJ loved it. This is the first time I remember him being excited about snow! Anyway; Rob had to clean off his car and TJ didn't want to be left out so he went out to clean off his Monster truck. His outfit of choice; his version of a jacket and hat, the dragon Halloween costume I couldn't get him to wear for the life of me two years ago! So here is Puff doing is thing! Good day to all!

Poor Robbie

I say poor Robbie and most of you may think first of his now hellish hours at UPS but no no that is not what I speak of. I mean the fact that poor Robbie married me; the women that thinks she can save all dogs. He says I don't think it's a good idea but let's me follow through anyway and then BAM guess who was right all along, can believe it ROBBIE! LOL! I am involved with a rescue group (plug here www.all4theanimals.com) and I just had my heart set on being a foster. Some of you may have even gotten the email about Harvey; well after only 2 days with us; harvey had to go and that made Rob right AGAIN! He was crying even with people sitting right next to him; not sure why but we couldn't have that! I want to help these animals but I do have two kids, two dogs and a husband to consider!

On a different note; Jack is doing great with "food"; loves the peas, sweet potatoes and squash I have given him thus far but let's be honest I do not think there will be to much Jack doesn't like! LOL! :-) TJ is gearing up for Christmas and plugs the tree in everynight so Santa can find him and everynight I explain it's not time yet - sometimes with more patience than others. He is also excited for his birthday and asks if he will get presents...yes of course my spoiled little lamb chop you will get presents - just what we need more trucks and god forbid you pick the wrong ones! Sandi can attest to that!

I will end this post with a thought; I like this. This is a way to keep track of my goings on and express feelings without telling ten stories to ten different people.

PS today is the first snow of winter 07 and the area has lost their marbles. It only took me 1.5 hours to get in when it was not snowing so this evening should be a fun commute!

As much as I like to share pictures, stories and events with each of you I thought this would be an easier way of doing that w/out overloading your inboxes with all that information. You can check on us daily, weekly, monthly or never - the choice is now yours! I will post more later, I am just trying to get this thing up and running! Mom - this blog is only open to those I have invited so do not worry that the "world" can see us! By for now!
